Rebecca Chmielewski

Rebecca Chmielewski

Associate Attorney

Rebecca Chmielewski is an Associate Attorney at The Prinz Law Firm. She supports both our individual and business clients with a full-service employment practice that includes employment discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims; wage and hour violations; and severance negotiations. Rebecca also assists businesses with employment and business contracts, employment handbooks, compliance matters, and conducting workplace investigations.

Prior to joining Prinz as an attorney, Rebecca served as a law clerk for the firm during law school. Her clerkship provided valuable exposure to a variety of litigation and transactional matters, and enabled her to gain experience in conducting legal research, preparing legal memoranda, drafting and revising motions, and revising employee manuals, among other skills.

Rebecca brings a demonstrable enthusiasm for employment law to her work, which was fed by her law school experience. While attending Chicago-Kent College of Law, Rebecca focused her studies extensively on employment law, completing the certificate program in Labor and Employment Law. She further interned in the Plaintiff’s Employment Law Clinic of the Chicago-Kent Law Group for two semesters, where she drafted EEOC charges for workplace discrimination and wrongful discharge cases, drafted complaints and motions, and later served as a student supervisor. Rebecca also served as President of the Labor and Employment Law Club and as a student editor for the school’s Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal.

Rebecca graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in human capital. She has harbored a passion for employment law since her time as an undergraduate, when she worked with young adults with developmental disabilities enrolled in a vocational rehabilitation program.

Rebecca’s passions outside of employment law include cooking, running, and traveling.
