Rebecca Baba

Associate Attorney

About

Rebecca Baba is an associate attorney at The Prinz Law Firm with a practice centered around transactional matters and business counseling. She regularly assists businesses with employment and business contracts, employment handbooks, compliance matters, and external general counsel work. She also conducts workplace investigations to help mitigate liability and workplace culture audits that ensure business objectives and employee well-being are aligned. Rebecca has a passion for ensuring healthy environments at work that promote efficiency, productivity, and long-term retention.

Rebecca has several years of experience with plaintiff-side representation in severance and other workplace negotiations. She has also litigated a broad variety of employment and business matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations.

Prior to joining Prinz as an attorney, Rebecca served as a law clerk for the firm during law school. Her clerkship provided valuable exposure to a variety of litigation and transactional matters, and enabled her to gain experience in conducting legal research, preparing legal memoranda, drafting and revising motions, and revising employee manuals, among other skills.

Rebecca brings a demonstrable enthusiasm for employment law to her work, which was shaped by her law school experience. While attending Chicago-Kent College of Law, Rebecca focused her studies extensively on employment law, completing the certificate program in Labor and Employment Law. She further interned for two semesters in the Plaintiff’s Employment Law Clinic of the Chicago-Kent Law Group, where she drafted EEOC charges for workplace discrimination and other wrongful discharge cases, prepared complaints and motions, and eventually served as a student supervisor. Rebecca was president of the Labor and Employment Law Club and a student editor for Chicago-Kent’s Employee Rights and Employment Policy Journal.

Rebecca graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in human capital. She has harbored a passion for employment law since her time as an undergraduate, when she worked with young adults with developmental disabilities enrolled in a vocational rehabilitation program.

Rebecca’s passions outside of employment law include cooking, running, and traveling.
