Bailey Whitsitt

Associate Attorney

About

Bailey Whitsitt is an employment attorney who represents both employers and employees in a wide range of workplace matters. Her practice combines litigation, day-to-day employment counseling, and proactive compliance strategies, providing clients practical, business-minded advice while remaining focused on achieving fair workplace outcomes.

Bailey advises employers on all aspects of the employment relationship, including employee handbooks and workplace policies, employment and restrictive covenant agreements, wage and hour compliance, accommodations and leave issues, workplace investigations, separations, and evolving employment laws. She also assists employers with workplace trainings, compliance initiatives, and other preventative measures designed to minimize legal risk and foster legally compliant, productive workplace cultures.

In addition to her employer-side work, Bailey represents employees in employment disputes, drawing upon her extensive experience with business and compliance counseling. Bailey developed an early interest in disability rights while working with a Chicago nonprofit focused on advancing the rights of individuals with disabilities during law school. Through that experience, she gained firsthand exposure to disability discrimination and accommodation issues and the practical application of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which continues to inform her approach to advising clients and advocating for accessible, inclusive workplaces.

Before joining The Prinz Law Firm, Bailey served as compliance counsel for an organization with national reach. She advised on multi-state employment law issues, led the company's employee handbook service, developed workplace violence prevention plans, and created legally compliant workplace training content. She previously practiced labor and employment law at two national law firms, where she counseled employers on a broad range of employment issues, drafted employment and separation agreements, conducted workplace investigations, and litigated employment disputes, including restrictive covenant and trade secret matters.

Bailey believes that effective employment counsel extends beyond resolving disputes. It also involves helping organizations build healthy and compliant workplaces while ensuring employees understand and can protect their rights. She enjoys partnering with clients to develop practical solutions tailored to their unique goals and workplace challenges.

Bailey earned her J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she served as Executive Director of the Mock Trial Executive Board and President of the American Constitution Society.
