The Prinz Law Firm Office Manager Position

The Prinz Law Firm is seeking a multi-tasker with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and growth mindset to manage the firm's administrative responsibilities.  This position is responsible for the firm's billing, vendor relationships, court filings, client communications, filing, scanning, and general office operations.

The Prinz Law Firm Law Clerk Position

The Prinz Law Firm is seeking to contribute to the educational experience of a second or third year law student by offering a position for a Legal Clerk. The candidate will participate in a number of different projects throughout the course of their assignment and gain exposure to the legal activities of a privately held, corporate organization. Join our program to get experience in your field while also learning more about the employment law industry.

Skills that we are looking for:

  • Completion of one year (or more) of Law School - must be a current student.
  • Proficient legal research skills.
  • Time Management - has ability to follow through on all assignments, manage multiple projects simultaneously and establish priorities.
  • Relationship Skills - can create positive working relationships with clients, team members, leadership, and other internal and external constituencies
  • Communication Skills - conveys the right information in writing and verbally, with appropriate use of language and grammar
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Tasks that you will be involved with:

  • Exploring and studying legal documents for determining causes of action, examining law of cases and facts, and preparing cases.
  • Screening petitions, motions and complaints filed to determine the litigant’s legal merit.
  • Preparing affidavits of documents, maintaining case correspondence and document files.
  • Researching analyzing law sources for preparing draft of briefs for approval, review, and advance use by attorney.
  • Reviewing and filing petitions, pleadings, and other legal documents pertinent to court procedures.
  • Maintaining retrieval and information storage services including legal search facilities and library.
  • Communicating and arbitrating dispute between different parties.

Above all else, remember that you are involved with a professional team delivering quality legal services to real people. The goal of the internship is to give you an orientation and exposure to how a law office operates. You should conduct yourself and dress professionally.

Confidentiality cannot be overemphasized. As a law clerk, you are bound by this rule just as are the attorneys, paralegals, and other employees of our firm.

Initiative and self-starting are essential qualities for paralegals, but don't be afraid to ask questions when necessary. Our attorneys enjoy the opportunity to "teach" you. We would prefer to answer questions about your assigned projects at the beginning or while it's in progress, rather than to end up with an unsatisfactory work product.

  • The ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles
  • The ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy

Tasks that you will be involved with:

  • Summarizing legal documents
  • Performing records research
  • Performing legal research
  • Coordinating research
  • Checking legal forms for accuracy
  • Preparing reports
  • Preparing correspondence
  • Drafting all sorts of legal documents
  • Preparing declarations
  • Preparing form complaints
